When...
will time
end?
|
|
What will happen
at that time?
|
"Since
the begining
of time, mankind
has been fearful of and fascinated by
the unknown, especially the unknown truth
about when
time will end"
|
Who
will survive?
|
|
Why
would
God allow
all this?
|
|
What if there really will be an end of this
world?...
And what if there is a way I can prepare
for it?...
And What if God has already told us the answers...
Would I want to know it?

Events
surrounding the return of Jesus Christ
|
|
1) The Rapture
1Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not
have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you
be not
grieved, even as others who have no hope. (14) For if we believe
that Jesus
died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who
have
fallen asleep through Jesus. (15) For we say this to you by the Word of the
Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord
shall not
go before those who are asleep. (16) For the Lord
Himself shall
descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and
with the
trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
(17) Then we who are
alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them
in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be
with the
Lord. (18) Therefore
comfort one another with these
words.
The Rapture is the
removal of believers from the earth, prior to the wrath of God being
poured out upon the inhabitants of the earth and the enemies of God,
leading up to the return of the Lord Jesus.
Indications
of Christ's coming will be:
1) Increased
sinfulness upon the earth:
"This know also,
that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(3) Without natural
affection, trucebreakers, false
accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors, heady,
highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (5) Having a form of
godliness,
but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(6) For of this sort
are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly
women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts<>," - 2 Timothy 3:1-6
2) Widespread Turning away
from the truth
and faith of God and Christ
"I charge thee
therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the
quick and
the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; (2) Preach the word; be
instant
in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all
longsuffering and
doctrine. (3) For
the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having
itching ears; (4) And
they shall turn away their ears from the
truth, and shall be turned unto fables". - 2Timothy
4:1-4
<>
3) Increased denial of the
Lord’s literal return -
2 Peter 3:3-4
4) Increased
claims of False Christs - Matthew
24:3-5
5)
Increased of violence
around the world - Matthew
24:6-11
|
2) The
Tribulation
The Tribulation is a time in God’s
Divine calendar when He will deal with His people Israel in such a way
that
they will either repent and turn to Messiah, or reject and continue in
their
wickedness and Godlessness until facing the destruction at the end.
"
Tribulation" refers to severe trials and hardships.
So
much of the movie 2012, is an good illustration of what "the end" of
time will truely be like, as depicted in the book of Revelation in the
Bible. But again, the 2012 time line is inaccurate.
Events
taking place within the Tribulation
A. 7 Seals -
a time of suffering and call to turn away from sin and toward Christ
In Revelation chapter 5, God is seated on His
throne with a
book or scroll which is sealed with 7 seals. Gods Son, Jesus (the Lamb)
takes the scroll and
begins opening the seals,
one by one. With each seal being opened, new events take place.
With the opening of the seals in
chapters 6-7, God unleashes
the Tribulational forces, which begin the times of testing on the earth. With each seal being opened, more hardships
are poured out on the earth and its inhabitants.
With these seals, disease,
famine, wild animal attacks, earthquakes, stars
falliing into the seas and widespread death occur in
increasing
measure. (much like presented in the
movie)
The 7th and final
seal, prepares the second stage
of trials upon the earth. These are announced and introduced with 7
trumpet
blasts.
* Many of the events
presented in these 7 seals, are very similar to the events that are
taking place in the movie "2012". Horrible earthquakes the
literally uproot entire cities. Fiery meteors that fall to the
earth like giant mortars, destroying everything in their paths.
The Bible states that as
these things begin taking place, they do so in increasing measure and
as
a results, even the meanest, toughest, and strongest of men - "their hearts will melt
for fear"
B.
7 angels with 7 Trumpets - more suffering in
increasing severity in order to emphasize the weakness of man and their
desperate need for God - another call to turn from sin and back to God.
In Revelation 8-11, 7 angels with 7 trumpets
introduce
horrible influences upon the earth and its inhabitants (much of which
are
similar to those in the 7 seals, only more severe)
Natural and human catastrophies will abound and in increasing measure (must like portrayed in the movie)
These trumpets ultimately bring
about the Great Beast, or
the AntiChrist which will attempt to take over the world with his power
and
forces, and will attempt to place Himself in the place of God and as
savior of
the world, to be worshipped.
However with all the horrible
things being brought about by
the 7 trumpets, the 7th or final trumpet will be the call of
God
which will:
1) call all
believing Christians out from the earth
(1Thes. 4:16 -20 & 1 Cor. 15:50-58)
2) call His
Son, Jesus Christ to return to the earth, and defeat the enemies of God
and of
Israel. (Rev.
chpt 19)
C. 7 bowls of
the wrath of God - Gods judgment being poured out on the inhabitants of
the earth for their lack of turning to God and trusting His Son and
Messiah.
Revelation ch. 16 and
following, describe the further effects of the Tribulation that are all
focused on the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, to defeat the enemies
of God and set up His earthly kingdom of righteousness on the earth.
Are you ready for "the
end"?
|
Consider This.
. .
|
The
movie really made me think, didn't it you? If "the end" happened to come tonight
while you were
sleeping, where would you spend
eternity? or If you were to die
tonight, would you be ready to
meet God? Have you had your sins
forgiven?
Gods
has a Purpose: God loves you and has good things for those
who
love and trust in Him. (John 3:16)
Mankind has a
Problem: Our sin has separated us from God. (Isaiah 52:9 /
Romans 3:23)
Gods
Provision: God has provided an opportunity for our sins
to be forgiven so we might be made ready to stand before Him.
(Romans 5:8)
Gods
Promise: Whoever will trust in Jesus as Gods sacrifice
payment for our sins, we will be forgiven. (Romans 10:32 / Joel
2:32)
DO
NOT FORGET THIS:
Your
need to respond: Have you had your sins
forgiven? Are you ready to
stand before God? What would prevent you from being
forgiven right now? Will you trust Jesus
as your Savior right now? Can I pray with you to ask
Jesus into your heart
and life to be your
own person Savior and Lord? |

What?
|
Is there
a God?
|
What
does
He
expect
of
me?
|
Is
there
life after
death?
|
How
can
I prepare
for it?
|
And if God
has already answered
these
questions....
|
...would
I
want
to
know
it?
|
|
The
fool has said in his heart, "there is no God"
-
|
|
How much more foolish is the person who
believes there is a God, but is not interested in what HE has to say
about things as important as the end of time?
|
|
Sometimes
we are willing to look everywhere but to God's word for what
is true.
